I've given a great deal of thought recently to jobs in America or the lack thereof, and what do you guys think about selling jobs to qualified individuals?

As an example, a corporation might spend $1.2MM on the low end creating a job. Why not sell the job for a discount of $800,000.

This seems to be the way states are going to lure manufacturing. Sine the company is going to pay all kinds of tax on profit under the new world order, some states are paying the company to locate and subsidizing federal taxes through local property tax deals.

Don't know the legality of the former, but it seems like a good deal for everyone involved.

(I'll run you a 20 year note on that $800,000 at the LIBOR + 4%.)

How do you pay the rent or the mortgage (and other living expenses) if you're paying an employer to let you work for him ? It sounds suspiciously like slavery.

Michael Steele and his Republicans would really jump on that idea !

why have to deal with all that when an employer gets penalized for hiring and expanding at home...

they just go where industry isn't suffocated by increased taxes, bureaucracy, red tape... europe/asia/etc

    Exactly. icon_biggrin.gif

Why should someone today, act as slave, to create jobs for those who can not and will not do it on their own.

Isn't that what George Bush did..? and look at the results of that action...to put it lightly...with this concept..its likely individuals would gain job positions that they dont have the knowledge or drive for...and qualified individuals...thats a term that can be thrown around...as just by having money alone can make you qualified.

I have never been one to abdicate choice. It is simply my choice as to where I spend my dollars as it is yours where you spend yours.

Some believe it is their right to take of my labor for their use, i.e., create their job, as the slave master in my ancestry believed it was his right. Black Africans should have no more been slaves than I should today.

To those who think it is my responsibility to create their job through investing because it is their right via force they currently do not have, I say, F___ you and the horse you rode in on.
