ha ha ha ha. This gave me a good chuckle. LoL. I was THINKING someone would say because we can spend the money rather than have 4 bratty kids running around pulling their hands out of their noses long enough to break collectible toys or action figures while wifey, walking around in her house shoes, looks for artists to get signatures from so she can hurry home and post them on ebay.

Gods I'm so jaded. I need a comic to read.

    I think you're both right.
Gays are hotter AND have more disposable income (except those who've adopted or gotten a wifey preggo before coming out of the closet).

I rant about NOT having enough disposable income.
Then again, with my hobbies, even being a billionaire would barely leave me much disposable income. Airplanes/jets are expensive hobbies. icon_lol.gif

I know. I mean if I won one of those million dollars lotto's or a few million I could have that gone in no time. I could spend a cool 10 mill in a week. Unfortunately. icon_redface.gif LoL.

Anyway I've been to a few comic conventions this year and I've had fun. There is a big one in September happening in Atlanta, Georgia. It scheduled to have Stan Lee there. Freakin' Stan Lee.!!
But the ticket to attend was $90 before July 15th. Now it's $100. Ugh I just can't see forking that much over for one day to go in and out. I mean there is probably a lot to do and see (if you read the guest list HELL YEAH a lot to see) but I just wanted to go for a Stan Lee sig for a comic or two. But I just heard that it'll be about $60-70 a per sig. Now that's what I heard and it may be true and may not but I just can't see it. No matter how much I thought I wanted to shake his hand and walk away with his scribble all over the cover of my book I just can't see it. icon_cry.gif
I am so, totally, prepared to regret it later and b!tch and complain about it like I always do. LoL.

This is annoying. Why the hell is there a separate gay comic con? As if gays are a separate species to normal humans. We ask for equality but we still have segregation. We ask for gay marriage, but no we are not happy with civil unions or other words to that effect.

Should there be an Asian comic con, black comic con, or even lefties-only Comic Con?

Maybe it is just a sign that gay people do not want to integrate into society and we want some kind of special status?

It's not that surprising. Considering that all the superheroes we know and love are big, buff guys (of all sizes), it's not surprising that Comic Con would attract and welcome gay men. icon_smile.gif

There are more and more non comic geeks attending these shows. It's basically a place for models and physique dudes to dress in skimpy costumes and get free publicity.
