George W. Bush....

    So this morning on my way to work I'm reading San Francisco's The Examiner and there's an article regarding the passing of Democratic Rep. Tom Lantos, a 14-year Congress veteran who was also a survivor of the Holocaust. In the article they have quotes from various political officials regarding Tom Lantos and his work and of course George W. Bush put in his two cents. This is what our President said, and his statement just seemed to me another shinning example of George W. Bush inserting foot into mouth....

    "Tom was a living reminder that we must never turn a blind eye to the suffering of the innocent at the hands of evil men."

    You interpret how you'd like, I know I did!

    Just thought I'd share....

    Every tragedy or loss is an opportunity for GW Bush. He's not honoring Lantos, he's saying "support my war".

    I really hope he gets his someday.

    And didn't she have us all fooled? That warm America's grandmother act was quite convincing in fact...

    Dubya is his mother's son, no question.

    Go about 40 seconds into this video and you'll see that unlike obama, hillary actually discusses some specifics in how she would get the violence to end in darfur.

    One could probably make a very strong case that George Bush is the Antichrist . . .

    Actually, a girl I knew dated Georgie for about three years when they were young. . . She said:

    1) He was drop dead gorgeous;

    2) Usually drunk;

    3) Dumber than a doornail; and

    4) The best sex she ever had.

    The only good thing I can say about him is that, like OJ Simpson, he's young enough to live with the world's opinion of him for a very long time . . .

    I'm sure he doesn't care what the world thinks. He'll always be welcome in Dubai.

    The hatred expressed towards President Bush in the above posts is irrational.

    (the Battle Hymn of the Republic playing in your head)

    President Bush is very much like President Lincoln.
    First of all the "Chimp" remark. President Lincoln was called an "Ape" by the press and his critics in his day.
    The election of President Lincoln was very controversial since he was elected by a minority and only because the Democrats were sharply divided.
    President Lincoln was considered too stupid to be the President of the United States by his critics.
    When Fort Sumter was attacked President Lincoln was popular but as the war became more difficult the Democrats called for a withdrawal. Lincoln being a Republican stayed the course.
    President Lincoln is responsible for some austere measures with Constitutional freedoms in the defense of the Republic. Much more austere than the USA PATRIOT Act.
    President Lincoln took the first steps towards bringing a backwards and medieval south into modernity as President Bush is doing with Iraq and Afghanistan.

    The world has shrunk up quite a bit since then. One can travel from Washington D. C. to Baghdad today faster than one could travel from Washington D. C. to Richmond, Virginia in 1861.

    To compare George W Bush to Abraham Lincoln is an absolute insult to Lincoln's name

    You are comparing an honest leader who FOUGHT for our liberties and eventually died for them
    to a lying shiftless war criminal who will in all likelihood go down as this country's worst President

    The contrast between them could NEVER be anymore different

    Here's a better comparison.

    When Britney Spears puts on the fake British accent they call her crazy. When dubyaGump puts on that fake Texan accent, oh, nevermind, they call him crazy too.
