I've been jogging for an hour three time a week and lifting weights four times a week for some time now. I'm seeing results and have lost some fat; however, I still have a little bit that needs to go around the belly area. My problem is that my face is a little bony looking. My body does not store fat equally, and it doesn't lose fat equally. I need more fat in the face and a little less around the stomach. What can be done?

Build muscle while you're losing fat. The muscle will replace the empty space created by the fat loss, and keep your skin tightened. That will also help to keep the skin tighter on your face so it doesn't sink in and look bony.

I know this from experience, because 10 years ago when I had a 6-pack, I got it the wrong way: cardio + no bulk...ended up with stretch marks and a bony face. This time I'm doing it as I advised above, and the results can be seen in my pics.

viveutvivas saidI have the opposite problem. Very low bodyfat, my abs are showing, but my face is still too soft. What can be done about that?
    Take up boxing...without gloves. icon_razz.gif

I don't understand. Yes, muscle fills in the voids, but muscles in my shoulders, arms, and chest aren't going to make my face less bony. You can't exactly go to the gym and do the face machine. icon_neutral.gif

P.S. I am lifting weights, so I'm not sure what else can be done to encourage muscle growth. Perhaps I need to eat more.
