Nah, I wouldn't call it "dorky".. maybe a little fanatical.. but a light saber is cool... I'd want to mess with one for sure... looks like fun.

Wow, I kinda geeked out after seeing that. The guy with the yello lightsaber was pretty good. Better skills than the other guy. Sucks about the arm, though.

If that class was offered in L.A. for $10 I would take it. Then I would look cool when I use Light Sabors to fight with 10 year olds at Toys 'R' Us!

I'd say geeky at the very least. Light sabers are basically a two-handed weapon, like a bastard sword or great sword, or even a katana or bokken. From a theatrical point of view, I can see why people would have a fascination with this.

I had a light saber duel with my 10 year old nephew. He "managed" to knock my light saber out of my hand. I just let loose with dark force lightning. It was pretty cool. I won icon_biggrin.gif

Okay, these people make Renaissance Fair people look normal! That being said, those fight clips were pretty damned awesome. I liked how the purple ones were shortened more like wakizashi which would be easier to handle one handed.

Lol, if thats dorky then I will join the ranks of dorks eventually. I found a site that makes good Lightsaber models that can actually be used in stage combat (with obvious care since their NOT industructable). I will get one eventually, I even have a little jar I put money in to save for it lol.
