    I think so... then again I'm from the breakbeat capital of the U.S. and have been into it hardcore since 1999. Dubstep is just a fad.

    Rusko is so damn GRIMEY... Almost not dub. I'm still going to see him August 13'th with Crystal Castles in Chicago though.

    @breakers

    You know I am a hardcore breaks head too...but breaks just do not have the pull dubstep does currently. What will probably happen is dubstep, like breaks and drum and bass, will be incorporated into genre-smashing sets. We'll see less all dubstep sets, and it will all get mixed in (a la FreQ Nasty sets)

    Dubstep is here to stay, it just will decrease in popularity.

    @Buckyou

    hahaha....I was going to post that Age of Dub. Awesome track. Ed is the nicest dude too.

    I LOVE THE DRUMS ON THIS TRACK

    this is kind of a ridiculous statement to make - dubstep having been around since near-1999 you might as well say that your interest in breakbeat is a fad too.

    i love breakbeat (not florida breaks, sorry, but still) but it's dumb to get into a genre pissing match over which is better, or to declare something that's been around as long as dubstep as this point a fad.

    i was pretty disappointed with chase + status rework of nneka's heartbeats, but i think i just hate on anything they do that doesn't match up to still in love.

    it's really good to see lorin bassnectar still going strong, positive dude. i remember him being the closing set for buzz nation in dc back in the day which was pretty much the end of an era.

    Any Inspector Gadged fan ?

    Chrispy's made a lot of great Dubstep remixes, you definitely should look up to him.

    I really like this one also, not from Chrispy though.

    Just had FreQ Nasty and an-ten-nae in town last night. 500 people packed a small club in Reno. Sweaty fun...big bass.

    FreQ was dropping all this 1/2 time drum and bass I was FEELING!!! Fast cymbols but the kicks were all in half time.

    If you get a chance to see FreQ Nasty soon, go.
