Question about reps

    Hello realjock members, sorry if this is a beginner question but thats just what I am right now. So ive heard from people around my gym when lifting weights to do a rep of 8 this way its less strain and over time you can move to bigger weights much faster then doing the classic 15, of course still doing 3 sets but half the reps. Is this true or is it best to stick with the way im going at 3 sets of 15? I hope this makes sense....icon_wink.gif

    Vary the weight and reps. Sometimes high weight low reps; sometimes low weight high reps; sometimes in between. Keeping the muscles confused is how they grow.

    Depends upon your goal. You'll want to study up on hypertrophy.
