I've been a huge fan of The Killers ever since their first album, Hot Fuss. I also have a big crush on the lead singer, Brandon Flowers. I can't believe my partner found out Flowers has a solo project being released later this year and found the video to the first single before I did!!! icon_confused.gif

Oh well, I think it is a great song and video to showcase his talents as a solo artist. I've always loved the way he consistently writes songs with thought provoking lyrics and the way he can wrap his voice around a melody. I think it is so interesting that he is, essentially, playing a damsel in distress in the video and Theron is playing the hero trying to rescue him.

    Check it out!

Please express to your partner my thanks.
I love the Killers, it's great to know there's something new. His voice is so silky, smooth

Edit: My favorite song is "All These Things That I've Done"

Just curious, if there are any Killers fans out there, what is your favorite Killers song.

For me, it would be a three way tie between Mr. Brightside, When You Were Young, and Human.

I wasn't crazy about All These Things That I've Done until I saw The Killers in concert. They rocked the hell out of that song live! My favorite song of theirs live, though, is When You Were Young.

Huge Killers fan here... I had heard of Flowers's project. My favorite Killers songs are: Human, When you were young, Mr. Brightside. And this photo:

Not much of a Killers fan (I did buy the first cd! And I mean---the actual, physical cd---remember the days?).

This song is beautiful. The video is wonderful. I loooove how the roles are inverted---and of course it had to be Charlize who played that part! icon_biggrin.gif

    cold said...disappointing video.

You mean you don't like sex and violence?

It is a bit over the top though.

I've seen the Killers a couple of times in concert, and both times the shows were great. One of my favorite bands. Is he just branching out with his writing for the solo cd, or is the end of the Killers on the horizon?

Agree with the poster who said they rock the hell out of "All These Things I've Done" Live. Even Human is a rock song live!

Is anyone familiar with The Hoosiers...kind of an English version of the Killers.

Oh, this better not be the end of The Killers! icon_eek.gif

    I hope not anyway.

But I think it will be interesting to listen to the album once it comes out and how similar or different it is compared to what The Killers have put out to date. If anything, this song kind of reminds me of Dustland Fairytale from the Day and Age album they put out a couple years ago.
