Astonishing. Such period accuracy for a mere parody, Empire dresses and all. Clearly the use of minority actors was anachronistic, but not a big problem for modern audiences.

I just wonder who funded this, and for what purpose? Obviously not done without some considerable expense, I have to ask how did this return its cost? Was this originally a broadcast production?

Looks like we're headed for another phase of cinematic Austenmania, with "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" being developed (I think Natalie Portman is attached) and no doubt "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters" shortly to follow...

As a former costume designer, specializing in period pieces and amateur movie maker, Wilton, I think you'd be surprised at how little this production actually cost.

The production values were pretty good, but the costumes were not all that accurate. they did, however, get the point across. Some "vintage" formal/semi-formal dresses, throw in some lace, shawls and hair ribbons, and you're done.

You can also get some pretty good movie-making/editing programs just about anywhere.

The creativity, however, is OFF THE WALL! Insanely clever! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

    DAMNED funny!!
