I'm wondering if anyone else has to deal with this, as I do. I'd had problems from it for years without knowing the cause. It seems amazing to me now that it had never been diagnosed with it since I know understand that I had all the classic symptoms.

Anyway, if anyone else here does have it, I'd be interested in sharing info about treatments that have helped, what works for you in terms of working out, and so on. I've found recently that some major diet changes have worked wonders for me but I don't feel the need to post about specifics if no one else here shares this problem. But if anyone is also dealing with hip arthritis, I'm happy to post about what seems to be helping me and would be very interested in hearing what has helped you.

I was diagnosed with mild arthritis in my left shoulder about 9 years ago. That's why I had to stop working out for a while.

Now I use Osteo Bi-Flex and do lots of rotator cuff exercises, and can finally bench press more than my own weight. Before, I never got over 130 pounds on bench because it hurt my shoulder too much.

Not sure it'll help you, but it's an idea...

Thanks for the suggestion. I've never used Osteo Bi-Flex though I've used similar products in the past without much luck. But that was before things got as bad as they eventually got.

At the moment, I think the changes I've made nutritionally are helping a lot (much more than I expected), but if things start going downhill again, I may try it.

Theatrengym, will you need a hip replacement soon?

I don't think so. I hope not. At the moment at least, I seem to be doing a bit better, and hip replacements are risky. Sometimes they work wonderfully, sometimes they don't work at all.
