i'm not sure i understand what you're asking of people.
i take that back...
in my blog i criticize the gay-for-pay scene within adult entertainment. so, yes, i am critical of gay men who fixate on straight men; however, i take that position, because of the political ramifications of disempowering lgbt beauty for the benefit of reinforced heteronormativity.
are you saying that people should be less superficial? if so, it's a valid point (and speaks to the point i make about setting oneself up for failure in desiring straight men, and can also be damaging to self esteem)... but is it realistic, especially on a fitness site, to ask people to "lower their standards?"
it's not that i disagree with you.
but there is a difference between wanting someone who is fit and wanting someone who is straight. although both may ultimately lead to rejection, are they the same? i think they might be, the more i write this, but could you clarify what your analogy IS? (especially when you yourself say you have trouble being attracted to "average" men)
