The first time I saw a similar act from Cirque Du Soleil was in 81 and the two guys where just as hot.

One of my divers performed and now artistic director for Cirque. I met all the guys backstage of "O" in Las Vegas. All attractive up close and personal!

They are great performers and athletes from others sports.

The singers are always my favorite. They are always awesome.

You should watch the miniseries Cirque Du Soleil: The Fire Within if you're interested in how they cast and put the shows together.

Cirque du Soleil are my favorite Cirque/Human talent performing company! The first video is amazing wth the show of feats! However, yes it`s bodybuilding ina way. I think it is more Handbalancing, gymnastics, art etc... Regardless what it actualy is, it is breath-taking to behold!

Glad you also are a fan!

    Big Fan here too!!

    Dave

    Favorite show: Quidam!

I'm a big fan of Cirque du Soleil. In fact Puppy80 and I just bought tickets to take my eleven-year-old daughter to see their new show, Ovo, in Boston on August 15.

My daughter is a very keen little trapeze artist in training and talks of one day joining Cirque du Soleil. Who am I to argue with an 11 year old's dream?

Anyhow, if anyone knows anyone who works with Cirque du Soleil, please let me know as I would love nothing more than to arrange for my daughter to be able to perhaps meet one or two of their performers, trainers, etc.

    Many thanks.

Love Cirque Du Soleil. I have seen four of their shows so far. My favorites to date are O and Zumanity. Might be going to Vegas early next year and will probably see a couple more Cirgue shows while there, if I do.

Bob, that was awesome. It's really amazing how seamlessly they blend sport with art. It doesn't hurt that the guy is built like a superhero and handsome as hell either.

I was a fan of Cirque Du Soleil

    until:

Cirque du Soleil Agrees to Pay $600,000 to HIV-Positive Gymnast Fired Because of Perceived Threat to Others
    April 23, 2004

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Thursday announced that Cirque du Soleil has agreed to pay $600,000 to a gymnast who was fired because of his HIV-positive status, the Los Angeles Times reports (Romney, Los Angeles Times, 4/23). Matthew Cusick said that after disclosing his HIV-positive status to Cirque shortly after his July 2002 hiring, he underwent several medical evaluations and was found to be in good health and considered fully able to perform with the company. However, shortly before he was to begin performing in the company's Las Vegas show "Mystere," Cirque sent him a letter terminating his employment and stating that his HIV-positive status "will likely pose a direct threat of harm to others, particularly in the case of future injury."

    btw.....

I heard the news on the radio....and not more than one hour later I was in the gym and saw Matthew.....I walked up to him and said " Congratulations on the win"

He said, "I don't know what you're talking about, no one told me the law suit ended"

Yea, C du S fucked that up too.

Hmmm.. I did not know that... That's pretty ignorant. And I would guess the percentage of gay employees there is slightly higher than the national average. Has anything happened since?

Yup, this is why I will never go to a Cirque show, There are some amazingly talented artists, but it's run by some seriously nasty evil fucks.

they fired my friend matt for being poz. i don't support them anymore, because they were very deceitful about all of it. he has his own duo gig now making beautiful work with a performance partner. he's precious. and he worked really hard for them. it wasn't right. i've been trying to get him to perform and speak at pride charlotte for the past 3 years, but the pride committee here can't get it together. if any of you are in positions to book him for pride events, let me know!
