Was his birthday on February 13th? Because in February that is when Ides is.

Ides is only on the 15th in March, May, July, and October. It's the 13th all other months.

Maybe if he'd gotten it wrong, he'd be alive today.

No, he just ignored the warning. But he knew what day it was. It's wouldnt have done him any good to stay home on the 13th, if they were planning to kill him on the 15th.

Now, NNJfitandbi might be concerned if he missed his birthday...or the guests bearing gifts did. ... icon_lol.gif

Happy birthday to all of you!

Your present is in my pants. I hope it fits.

(Didn't I already use that one for someone else's birthday?)

Well then a preliminary happy birthday to you NNJ, and a timely one to MNjock and Sahem as well. Now, if you could all just get together for a birthday picture in your birthday suits, that would be great. And go.

Your birthday would actually be expressed as "15 days before the Kalens of March."

The Roman month only had 3 days with names: the first: Kalens (whence our world "calendar"), the Nones: 7th or 9th*, and the Ides: 13th or 15th*

Days other than those were expressed as so many days before the next named day.

*months of March, May, July, and October ... (Many Men Jerk Off ...hey, it has worked for 39 years ... tee hee hee)
