The soured random online encounter

I'm often found online talking to some campus friends for example gay.com or here, RealJock.

Occasionally I get a message from someone new and random, who I can tell is really horned up as he immediately steers the conversation towards sex. I try to be direct as possible to let him know I'm not interested in random hookups as gently and directly as possible; what ends up happening is they get hostile and frustrated.

This has also happened to me once in the real world but thankfully he didn't make a scene.

I'm typically left in shock at what just transpired in front of me and don't know what to say. I'm just thinking in my head, "is it so wrong to not want to do a random hookup? And how does this hostile attitude encourage me to let you into my pants?"

My question is: has this ever happened to you guys and how do you deal with it?

It's fucking text on a screen, dude. And you're visiting a site (gay.com) where lots of people go to hook up. Just put them on ignore and move on.

Now bend over so I can fuck you.

Yes, it's happened. But it's so inconsequential. You don't know each other, so don't even give it a second thought. Karma doesn't care that you offended someone's slutting technique.

I usually either delete the message, or if I'm feeling particularly evil, I'll tell them I'm into something "rare and uncommon".

That usually is followed by silence.

DOnt know why, but I usually dont get that kind of thing... they might come in saying things like it, but they quickly realise IM not responding and turn the conversation to something more normal, or just give up and leave
