CONFESSION: It's good for the soul - Has anyone here ever stolen anything from someone's locker at the gym?

Mind you, I've never actually "stolen" anything from someone's locker... but I did take home an Old Spice body wash ("Look at me. Look at him.") that someone left behind in the shower one day.

My old gym had a cardboard box over in the corner where they would toss clothes that guys left behind. I've got a nice pair of shorts and two tank tops from there.

This discussion was sparked because today someone had left a pair of boxer shorts hanging in the shower. Ick.

OK, I showed you mine; now you show me yours. icon_eek.gif

That's almost a daily occurrence - one day there were 3 pairs of shorts hanging up.
& no, but someone took my gloves after I left them. I hope there hands went as black as mine did using them as the die used to run.

my last gym utilized one locker in the men's dressing room as a "lost & found" storage facitlity.

after a couple of weeks; anything still in there was considered fair game by me (and others).

i aquired several nice towels, gym shorts, unused, still sealed up body wash and sunglasses, even a small leather gym bag left behind in the L & F locker. icon_cool.gif

Sorry, for the second there I thought you were suggesting stealing was good for the soul, then I re-read the headline.

I wouldn't say I stole, but I have acquired a couple of hand towels people have abandoned at equipment and a pair of sandals perfect for shower use. In each instance, I gave the owner time to reclaim them. I'm sure the people cared less about the towels. But, I wonder if the owner of the sandals is still checking out the feet in the locker room to see if someone is wearing his pair.

Didn't you stop for a second to wonder why they abandoned it? Maybe they stepped in poop, or were horsing around throwing stuff and it fell in the toilet, or discovered they had a foot fungus.

Sorry mate but you're a wanker - had stuff stolen myself - always losing Virgin Active padlocks for example - cost a fiver (7-8 dollars?) - not good!

I stole someone's heart while they were at their locker at the gym.
    Does that count?

The only thing I can think of is taking swim goggles people left in the shower at the pool.

I've never stolen anything from another human being. Now those cold hearted bastards that own Macy's on the other hand.....

Lol, just kidding.....well sorta. The last time I stole anything was at Christmas time when I was visiting home during college. I was with my mom and one or two of my sisters at the facsimile of a Macys. and I wasn't getting my way or my mom wouldn't buy me anything so I just grabbed a gourmet candy bar and shoved it in my pocket.

I think I was hoping that I would get caught and it would ruin Christmas for everyone and I would get my revenge for not getting the presents that I want, mwa ha ha!

Boy, have I changed since then! Well, not really.

if I find something someone left in the lockers I take it to the front desk, since my stuff was stolen from my locker including the money for the rent and driver license I know the feeling of loosing things.
