I agree, adding a dog to the mix makes a guy a lot more personable.

Caveat emptor! I have also met guys that treat their pets like gods. Not necessarily a good thing. This said, I used to have two dogs myself, and I loved them, yet they knew who was boss.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree. .

Guys with pets are usually needy and can't be left alone. They're afriad of their own company and are constanty hanging on ur coattails.

Honestly tho, I notice most gay guys have those uber gay dogs too, like a tea cup yorkie or a shit zoo [shitzu (sp?)] and they treat it like it's a child.

That annoys me when ppl treat their animals like humans.

I can tell a lot about anyone with animals by how they treat them. Ask a man why he likes his pet(s), and gives great clues as to what he really wants in a man.

Thank you. I'm no fan of house animals and find that 90% of the people with house pets DO NOT keep their homes clean.

Dogs and Cats shed, bark/meow, and have "mistakes". Make the switch, get a reptile ;)

I've got a python and a monitor. The snake causes problems on occasion; who knew people still had fears of stuff like that? icon_rolleyes.gif

    Yes, exactly.
    and their clothes too.

They'll usually have dog hair or cat hair all over themselves.
    Or even in their car.
I know this guy that has a dog and I can't even sit in his car without getting dog hair all over me.

Animals are nothing but work. Work and money

I've seen some people spend more money on their animals than on their kids! It's insane. I'll spend my animal money on a nice pair of leather shoes.

One of the first turnoffs for me is someone who treats a dog or cat with indifference or hostility. I mean do I want to have a dog all over me if I'm visiting with a friend? No, but you are in "their" home. I see clients at their houses and I've encountered some slightly irritating events, but it doesn't really bother me... and I never let it show.

Showing warmth, concern, caring for any animal (including horses big time) means something. It is definitely an asset.
