Here's something I never get tired of. I could watch Margaret Cho impersonate her mom everyday. icon_lol.gif

    My dog.
    Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Greg Focker saying grace and Jack Burns' poem in "Meet the Parents"

"Oh, dear God, thank you, you are such a good God to us. A kind and gentle and accommodating God, and we thank You oh sweet, sweet Lord of hosts for the smörgåsbord You have so aptly laid at our table this day, and each day, by day, day by day, by day oh dear Lord three things we pray to love Thee more dearly, to see Thee more clearly, to follow Thee more nearly, day, by day, by day. Amen. "

    'My Mother' by Jack Byrnes

    You gave me life,
    You gave me milk,
    You gave me courage.
    Your name was Angela,
    An angel from Heaven,
But you were also an angel of God,
    And he needed you, too.
Selfishly I tried to keep you here,
While the cancer ate away at your organs,
    Like an unstoppable rebel force,
    But I shall see you
    Nevermore, nevermore, nevermore
    Until we meet in Heaven.

    People falling down.

I inherited this from my Mom (God rest her) She taught first grade, so it undoubtedly scarred some children at a young age, but she couldn't help it. I remember once, I took her shopping at a large suburban mall, and a little girl was running down the department store aisle looking for her parents, slipped and skid down the aisle and hit her head on a mannequin stand - crying her eyes out. I looked around to see a little rack of dresses trembling and shaking. I walked over and sure enough, behind it was my Mom, bent over with her hand over her mouth trying not to burst into loud peels of laughter.

I accused her of blowing the whistle at random when she had playground duty, just to see if she could cause some poor first grader to come running at her command, trip and fall, purely for her amusement.

My Dad was out trimming a hedge once, with an electric chain-driven trimmer, and we hear this loud gunning of the trimmer, a couple of cracks and a puttering of the motor...we rush out to find him akimbo, upside down inside the ladder, the trimmer lodged in a branch sputtering away, and him covered in scratches and scrapes having fallen through. My sister is running up the hill in a panic to rescue my Dad, while my Mom is buckled over in laughter and just pointing to him, breathless and convulsed in hysterics like a kid who just heard a fart joke.

People falling down are just funny.
