I went to see the movie "Agora" this weekend and was stunned by it. Set in the city of Alexandria in late antiquity, it is a very powerful movie about tolerance, intolerance and other threats to human dignity. It is by far the most courageous movie I have seen in years and I strongly urge everyone to see it.

Have not seen it. The trailer looks good. The ratings are not very good
I get to see about one movie every week (mostly independent) so I don't usually get a chance to see the lower rated films being that there are normally some very highly rated films almost every week. I realize that people are going to say that I should ignore the ratings, but I have found ratings of independent films to be pretty accurate most of the time.
