    Hi.

I'm a bit stuck for TV shows to watch. I like to stream gd shows online when i've got free time.

However i've gone through all the epsides to my favourite shows so far. Some of the better shows i've gone through are:

    Six Feet Under
    The Sopranos
    Trueblood
    The Royle Family
My Life On The D List
    Firefly
    Glee
    30 Rock
    Modern Family

So, as you can see, I'm a big fan of great tv drama/comedy or a mix of the two.

What have been some of the best TV shows (past or present) you've been a fan of and why?

Any that you can recommend me based on my current list maybe?

    Cheers in advance ;p

    believe it or not..."30something". icon_eek.gif

it makes a LOT more sense to me now than it did when it was on primetime.

many of the series plots and character's personalities seem very true-to-like nowadays.

First, without a doubt, the Sopranos, pauly walnuts kills me.
Second, and by great contrast, Leave it To Beaver. Best 1/2 on TV and takes me back to more innocent times.

    The West Wing
It was a show about a fictional Presidency that was far superior to any of the actual ones it matched up against. President Bartlet and his motley staff were fair, just, commanding, and comedic at just the right spots. But as you might expect of a show about the President, the term eventually had to end. (Curse that pesky 22nd Amendment!) I frequently find myself reliving the seven seasons of glory. Probably one of the most intelligent shows you'll ever watch. Here are some highlights.

    Band of Brothers
They were brave men. They were complex men. (And, thanks to the crack casting agents, they were also hot men.) The Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg-produced HBO mini-series only spanned ten episodes, but the eye candy will feed us forever: Damian Lewis, Ron Livingston, the third extra from the back in that one scene in the middle...they're all pretty. And pretty brave. That of course, takes back a back seat to the World War II heroics, offensives, and friendships ripped from the Stephen Ambrose biography about the men of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne Division. Here's a sneak peek.

    Friday Night Lights
Finally, a show about real football that has it all: Xs and Os on and off the field and into the complex real-life problems and relationships between citizens of a west Texan small town that manages to make you laugh, weep and think all at the same time. Watch Matt Saracen, Jason Porter, Tim Riggins all attempt to play football and live life under the ever thoughtful presence of Coach Eric Taylor. Here's a particularly powerful excerpt:

Haha I used to be a golden girls viewer when I was a little kid, watching it on daytime TV before I was even of school attending age....Now the rest of my life is starting to make sense LOL ;p

I did really use to enjoy Weeds, it was really interesting to learn how to become a sucessful suburban pot dealer and all the hilarity that ensues with it [well, in the fictional world of little houses made of ticky tacky, where they all looked the same]- BUT- as the seasons progressed, it started to become a bit silly and tiresome, and I ended up loosing any emotion invested in Nancy the protagonist- it was like, 'you keep getting yourslef into dangerous situations, the storyline is ridiculous, if you were to be killed off, I don't care anymore''- which is a shame because it started with such promise- have you seen the trialer for the new season though? where they emigrate to canada? It looks asanine...A shameicon_neutral.gif

And Hulu looks great but is only for US viewers I think- Sidereel is my go-to usually
