We've arrived at what is typically the hottest time of the summer... and the beginning of the dog days..

107 here in Wichita today (ick). I love the summer, but when we do 105-110, thats too hot.

How is it where you are?

And the humidity is only gonna be in the 50% range.
    I <3 high heat & humidity. I miss South Florida. icon_lol.gif

Oh and my record heat exposure is a century ride (100 miles) on a cloudless day, 105 degrees in the shade, heat index of 115. That was fun!

101 here in new orleans yesterday, humidity high also.

    Laud Laud!! icon_rolleyes.gif

some peeps questioned my lavish expenditures of fiberglass attic and under-floor spray foam insulation and top of the line high efficiency air conditioning when i renovated this 1882 side hall victorian money pit 5 years ago....yesterday was why!

my bf's uninsulated, cheaply air conditioned house didn't drop below 84 yesterday...mine stayed at the thermostat setting of 76. icon_cool.gif

I live in one of the hottest places in the U.S... weather AND otherwise.
But, it seems the rest of the country is competing with Palm Springs this year... I left town and went to Colorado for a week and while I was gone it was about 115+. Now that I am back, we're bearly hitting 105.
BUT our heat is dry... high humidity for us is around 30%!!!

The last 5 days have been awsome, however we have had record breaking temps for the last 2 1/2 weeks.

It's worse in North Dakota, where I grew up. They'll have about 2 weeks of this crap this time of the year. Plus the winters there are about 20 degrees colder on average than they are here.

It has been in the upper 90's for the past 4 days and it is 105 today with our usual low humidity here in Phoenix. I was thinking of going to Michigan to visit my family but decided not to because it is about 100 degrees there and 100% humidity. I will wait to visit them when it gets a little bit cooler. With a little less humidity.
