Do you stop for stop signs and red lights?

  Do you stop at stop signs? Or do you only stop to avoid a ticket?If you come to a four way stop and you get there before another car ,do you just slow down and go through without stopping? Do you make a right turn on red without stopping even thought there is oncoming traffic ?Do you drive out of parking lots without stopping?
  I notice these things happens a lot in our city and wonder if you notice this in yours?

  Even the Sheriff in the US town I lived in for 13 years said stop signs were really just decoration. California stops were the norm.
  
  Back home, not even turning right is permitted (except when there's the rare green arrow, on of the few legacies taken over from former East Germany.) And you better be stopped for 2 seconds at a stop sign, or the cops will ticket you for it in a heartbeat. Germans love their rules and (generally) stick to them. However, this also means that traffic is generally smooth running (except when there's just too much of it.)

  I am terrible with stop signs i pretty much treat them like yield signs but I always look. I really need to work on it. Lights though I always stop.

  Yeah I do... I'd rather not have a ticket as I know what can happen with insurance costs if I don't, but more than that. Its the law and its a law for a practical reason.

  I almost always come to a complete stop at a sign (I'll admit to sometimes doing a "california" stop), always at a red light.
  
  Rotaries seem to be a free-for-all here, but I'll lay on the horn when someone doesn't yield when I have the right of way.

  I for the most part follow all rules,I've done a rolling stop @stop signs, I'll admit though... and i'm remotely cautious on turns/exits

  I always stop at both stop signs and red lights. I always use my turn signal to turn and change lanes and never turn right on red if there is a sign that does not allow the turn. Five or six over the speed limit is my limit. Where I live nearly every street has parallel parking so you never know where a cop might be out of sight in a row of parked cars. I have not had a ticket in over a decade.

  Just this morning at a busy intersection on a 6 lane street where the right lane turns onto a 4 lane street with a Yield sign for those turning, I honked my horn at the lady on her call phone who sat there while cars were 1/2 block back from coming from the other direction. She glared in the mirror and then finally inched out. (You can see almost to the next county from the intersection, so it wasn't that what caused her hesitancy, but typical stupidity.)

  I joked before, but ALWAYS stop at red lights/stop signs AND use turn signals. there is nothing more irritating than those who either don't use them, or flip their turn signals on after they slam on the brakes and start their turn.

  Though I rarely drive these days (NYC) - YES. Same as Timberoo. All signs, always when driving. I'm shocked at how many people don't - and am tempted to key every single car that starts rolling before the g__ __(!) light has turned green. If I didn't think I'd get sued, I'd smash their frackin' windshield with a baseball bat!
