Do you get "cruised" a lot on this site?

Every time I log in, I find I have been "viewed" (cruised?) by a bewildering number of men - old guys, young fit lads, average jocks, complete heart-throb studs, you name it. But no one hardly ever stops to say hello or to leave a comment. I am not bothered by this or creeped out, it is my decision to put myself on public show on this site, but I wonder how many other "looks" other people get and the reasons for people clicking on my page (and, indeed, how they found me among all the other much more handsome jocks on this site anyway). Do you spend a lot of time going through pages at random? And do you ever stop to leave a message?

I wouldn't read to much into it. I can only speak for myself, but if I a picture sticks out or catches my attention on the main page I click on it to see other pics and sometimes read the profile. I wouldn't so much call it "cruising" as just simple curiosity. It's not really any more than that. I get viewed all the time by people that don't send an email, and that's okay. Emails are always welcome, but I'm never offended if they don't say anything. It's kind of like window shopping --- Something in the window might catch my attention and make me want to walk in the store, but it doesn't mean I have to buy anything.

They're going to your page because the photo was enticing (or too small to see well enough) and wanted to look at other photos, or your profile popped up while someone was doing a "factor-based" search (by city, age, etc.). If they don't say anything to you, that doesn't mean you couldn't initiate something with them. Just don't assume they're into you because they looked at your page. I see guys complain about that in the forums. No fun.

I wouldn't consider it cruising. I like to look at people's photos to get a feel for what they're like. It's not *always the case that I'm eyeing them up. On Facebook I look at lots of girls and guys, but that's cos I'm a nosey person. In real life I'm also the kind of person that would blurt out quite private questions at times.

Some people do view my profile but it doesn't mean anything to me. They could think I'm ultra annoying, cool, hot, retarded etc but it doesn't matter cos I only treat this as the internet. I'm used to being insulted at/commented on/praised anyway by people on the net by being on Youtube.

Usually I view somebody I find had something interesting to say in a forum... just to see if I can get a feel for the person saying this... I may or may not then decide to message them... if I feel I have something if interest to say to them or want to compliment them I will though

If Im looking at somebody because their picture stood out for some reason, Im inclined to comment on their picture...

I usually get "cruised" 2-4 times per day. Personally, I love checking profiles. There are tons of interesting people on RJ!

I get a lot of views as many here do. I don't view it as "cruising" as much as some just being curious. For me "cruizing" is when someone continually checks out your profile.... and you know it. I've has some of that, but I never take it too seriously.

I also get quite a number of say hello and are complimentary. I always respond, thank them and are polite. I've made some great friends here
and it all starts with being noticed with a picture.

i usually check profiles of people who wrote something on the forums, then i check their buddy and hot lists and sometimes click on pictures there which can lead me to click some pics on the buddy list of a buddy list of a buddy list and i finally completely lose track of the man i was checking in the first place.

i get viewed very randomly, sometimes 5 a day, sometimes one, often none. ... and you never know if someone checks you out for 1.24 seconds or if they actually read your profile .
I rarely get messages . i rarely send any .

GAy oriented sites and in particular RJ remind me of my childhood, sitting in the toilet flipping the Sears catalogue. It piques mostly curiosity and sometimes adventure but mostly curiosity.

    I windowshop, its fun, lol!
I sometimes play this game where, I check out some guy, then I go to his lists if theres another hot guy there, then I check his lists, and so on and on until I find a guy who hotlisted somebody on my lists. Game ends.
Or if somebody has an interesting opinion or pic, then I say hellrr or make a comment.
    No harm done. icon_wink.gif

I agree. I might click on someone's profile to have a look but it's not cruising them - similarly I don't assume I've been cruised just because someone has looked at me. Though, if they have done so repeatedly and not sent any message, I might send one to them asking what's up, hehe!

If a particular person writes something well or thoughtful on a forum topic, I am likely to take a look at their profile to learn a little more about them and where they're coming from. It is however not odd for me to compliment someone on a well written comment or profile description.

alas, no. I have noticed where the same guys look at my profile a lot, but never say anything to me... and you know who you are! Otherwise, my 'frequent viewers' are guys that I talk to on a near daily basis.

Is that cruising? I had no idea! Well, I'm glad there are usually new faces there when I look. However, almost no one says hi, even though my profile says new friends are welcome. Even though I'm taken it's nice to know people like my pic enough to take a look.

Pretty sure I've clicked on your pic before.
Ok. maybe a couple times, but you're really hot to me!
It's a great pic...love sports gear and it draws you in to see what else you might have. I also check to see if a guy lives near me. (Almost no one does.)

Sorry for not saying hi before.
