With allies like this, how can we fail?

I had the pleasure of meeting Kionie at the national stonewall democrat convention in DC this past weekend. There wasn't a dry eye in the room when they played this video. icon_smile.gif

Sadly it is my generation and those close to it that are the most anti-gay. Younger folks don't seem to think being gay is any big deal.

Yeah, i know. I hope this keeps going so future generations have the equality that we dream of....

On another note, a lot of the younger gays have no idea the struggles of the gays in your generation. I only hope that one day they learn to appreciate it.

But you have leverage over youth because you are psychologically closer to the older generation demographics, even if so speciously. For example, a family of conservative Chinese people would more likely listen to their own daughter than a complete stranger if that person decides to support gay rights. Another example, I was more able to convince my own fraternity brothers to support gay rights than some prissy queen shouting "gay rights now" from a loud speaker on campus.
