We just had a thread about Basil. Who interestingly pronounces his name like the herb, not the broader "A" the English use for the name, as in the actor Basil Rathbone.

And I commented in that thread that you should see the YouTube collection on him, and the comments there, which are brutally funny.

I think that ole Basil Marceaux is the next "Joe the plumber !"
Well, at least he's more intelligent and articulate than most Republicans.

And seeing you are neither intelligent nor articulate I guess that's why you claim to be an independent, huh?

It is representative government after all. If the constituency is batshit insane then the one elected to represent them should be too. This guy's not really that different from your Michelle Bachmans or Jim DeMints.

So.... it has come to my attention you are now living down here in South Florida.... near that very dear RJ member Wilton.

Why don't you and Wilton hang out sometime?

Oh, great...Now sb wants to be RJ's own personal cruise director, Julie McCoy!

    OtterJog,

By the same token I guess I can safely assume that you think Greene makes democratic party proud?

    Colbert,

Minus the fact that they aren't particularly allied to gay rights I'm not sure what you find so worthy of deriding in those representatives. At least they stand on the right side in terms of economics and fiscal policies, something that affects all of us, even gays!

    WTF?

if this is real, it's truly an example on how life is stranger than fiction. how is this even possible? I feel truly sorry for all relatively sane americans who have to put up with something like this.

it is an insult to democracy.... but wonderful material to all of us europeans, who occasionally like to make fun of the USA icon_twisted.gif

haha Alvin Greene: "Let's go to your room right now."

    is this from the Onion??

cereally, why don't we clean slate and hire proven small business owners.. ya know ordinary people who take a hit when the market dives as well, and don't have the luxury to print money or can afford to play media games, so they're forced to find novel concepts to make it work to feed themselves?

instead we "vote" these unintentional comedians hired by lobbies and unions?

maybe we'll have a little bit of accountability, but the faceless lobbies run the show.. dc is just the stage venue

The Bachmanns of the world don't even acknowledge our shared humanity; why in the world should I accept anything else they believe in?

Sorry; I value people over dollars.

you must be on the receiving end (pun intended)

how bout i keep my own dollars so i can afford paying off my student loan and move to Chelsea, NY and support gay owned-cafes, restaurants, sex dens, bookstores, etc?

but no, i have to contribute my hard earned money instead to an administration that legally acknowledges me as a 2nd class citizen, but its cool because we can party together in the media so they can continue to receive our gullible votes.. yahhhhhhicon_cool.gif
