Running log - 5 August

    Was feeling some kind of way yesterday so was not ambitious.

    10 miles, 1hr23min58sec. Had to make a detour around Lollapalooza setup. Maybe I'll see Lady Gaga out running tomorrow morning!

    My training goal for tomorrow is 16 miles. It's supposed to be perfect weather so feets don't fail me now.

    I was on the elliptical for 30 minutes then did bench press, dumbbell curls, leg press, and situps. Waiting for my feet to heal up so I will probably skip Friday and start up Saturday morning with a long run.

    ran for 30 minutes, only just over 5 k but i did stairs intervals ( a curving flagstone staircase set in the mountain nearby, lovely spot ).

    Somehow fucked up my right calf. This, after having an MRI about my butt last week to check for disk problems which may be causing the piriformis strain. Oy icon_sad.gif

    I wonder if the calf injury is related---i.e. if it's a compensatory injury which is tied to my piriformis problem. It's driving me crazy. I just got started on my marathon training and this is a real inconvenience.

    Ran 8 miles, including 2 KILLER 1/2 mile hills, 10 min mile pace. Thank goodness for lowwww humidity !

    I walked 30 minutes from my house to the park. I ran 45 minutes and return 30 minutes.
