A man walked up to me today as I was standing around in the grocery store. He was a white male in maybe late 40s, a little overweight, and not entirely ugly. He comes behind me and shuffles around for several minutes. I, feeling extremely nervous and harassed, flash him a smile. You wouldn't rob a friendly person, would you?
He comes close to me and breathes around in my personal space.
Him: "How does $175 sound for half an hour?"
Me: "Pardon me?"
Him: "Don't be a __ idiot. I have a nice room."
I'm thoroughly fascinated to bits here, by now. No one has ever been so blunt to me about sex.
Him: A little fun time.
He was getting redder in the face and kept staring at me. I could see his jaw clench, and the veins in his temples throb. He was also 6 inches away from my face and was taller and bigger than I am. It was my turn to check out. He walks away, lingering by the door. I saw him walk to the car and he kept glancing back.
I was wearing khakis and a blue dress shirt. I had a John Deere cap on. What invitations could I possibly have been trying to solicit?
My boyfriend thought it was hilarious. I can safely say that even at the peak of my career, I will never make $350/hr.
Has someone had a similar experience before? Out of theoretical curiosity, how high does the meter run these days?
