    Your heart...

    Beating_Heart_animation.gif

What an amazing organ...it goes non stop your whole life...here are some stats on the heart...

    1. Your system of blood vessels - arteries, veins and capillaries - is over 60,000 miles long. That's long enough to go around the world more than twice!
You know..I've heard this often...but it's hard for me to fathom that...mass equals weight...and it's hard for me to see how there's enough mass in your body to wrap around the earth twice...visualize a spider web that long...

    2. The adult heart pumps about 5 quarts of blood each minute - approximately 2,000 gallons of blood each day - throughout the body.

    3. When attempting to locate their heart, most people place their hand on their left chest. Actually, your heart is located in the center of your chest between your lungs. The bottom of the heart is tipped to the left, so you feel more of your heart on your left side of your chest.

    4. The heart beats about 100,000 times each day.
    wow!
    5. In a 70-year lifetime, the average human heart beats more than 2.5 billion times
a beat for every dollor the corporations got for the bail out..

    5. Blood is about 78 percent water.

    6. Blood takes about 20 seconds to circulate throughout the entire vascular system.
60,000 miles in 20 seconds?? This is why I have a hard time believing # 1

Anyways...back with more info in a bit...like vitimans that are good for the heart...

    Vitamin B family...

The vitamin B family of vitamins is good for the heart...

    Don't ask....

And some food items that contain lot's of vitamin B variations...

Watching ones health decline is no fun...we all start off in life, young, feeling invincible...and then one day you find out you have this or that...and then you realize your mortal...temporary...

But while here...to make our earthly experience as pleasant as possible...it helps to have a healthy body...one that functions properly....

I know I'm not where I want to be yet in life...so there's still a lot of mileage I still need to get out of this body, before I can even think about slowing down...

Expecially for single guys...for there is not a lot of safety net for guys who are of working age, who suddenly loose their health...except for the homeless shelter and or family that's willing to take you in...

If your a single guy...you really do need your health...
To be continued sometime in the future...

    Confused about dairy products...

    dairy-products.jpg

Lately I've been hearing contridictory (misspelled) information about dairy products and your health or heart...

Today, on the radio, I heard a nutritionist guy say he gave up all dairy products for his health...

But at the same time...I hear others say dairy products are good due to the protien...well which is it?

I also heard jogging is not good for your heart, from a radio host...

I still drink milk...love cheese (rarely consume though)...

Is it bad to drink milk? yes or no...

Is milk bad for the heart?
Is jogging bad for the heart?

I heard on the radio last night, that if you jog over the age of 40 you could drop dead of a heart attack...

I mean how does one properly excercise the heart without over stressing it?
That same radio host suggested bike riding...

    Wow...this is kinda getting scary...
It seems some, like the old time tough people, could eat anything and still live to be 85...and others eat one cheesecake...and drop dead at 35...
