I'm doing research on the subject of gaining weight/bodybuilding and I was curious about what the good books are that are out there?

BodyBuilding.com has tons of great online articles. I imagine the forums would have info on good books as well.

A really great book that I read a few years ago is "Scrawny to Brawny" http://www.scrawnytobrawny.com/book.html.

Serious Strength Training, by Tudor O. Bompa

Bompa is the father of modern periodization. The book is not an easy read, and not at all like the Weider picture books. This is the real deal.

I do think his nutrition approach has been surpassed - but in terms of workouts, you won't get much better information anywhere.

The chain bookstores and Amazon both carry it.
