LOVED it...Anyone else? I felt like it was so symbolic of so many different types of things, I loved it. Animation is getting better and better, and damn it made me want a cute black dragon that shot out nuclear shit... icon_sad.gif

    Anyone else?

I normally don't like animation that isn't done by Disney/Pixar. But, my friend really wanted to see this, so we went. I have to say, I loved it. The animation was good and the story was actually very well done.

I just saw "Despicable Me" last night in 3D and have to say it was awesome. The 3D was amazing and the movie itself was HYSTERICAL!

If you could have a Dragon what would it look like and what would it be? What would it's defense be?

It would look EXACTLY like that Black one except dark dark blue, and then it's defenses would be ice and everything to do with Ice...i'm a nerd

it was an adorable movie, with an interesting subtext in how hiccup had to keep his friendship with toothless "in the closet", so to speak. and i like how hiccup was drawn to look like a little skater/neo-emo kid. cute.

toothless was frakin' awesome. i want a dragon like that.

i think i'l go watch it again right now.

I thought it was Pixar-level work from Dreamworks. And then Pixar released TS3 and sort of blew Dragon out of the water. But it's still a really good film and it was nice to see something from Dreamworks that didn't really so heavily on big names in the voice cast and a lot of pop culture references. And I thought the 3D was better in this than the 3D in Avatar.

How to Train Your Dragon is easily one of my favorite films of this year. To say the least, it was brilliant, and I would also argue that it was better than Toy Story 3. The plot actually had substance as well as heart, both of which often seem to be missing from new releases these days.
