I love Ted Olson! He is so intelligent and brings common sense to Fox news. I was at the Rally in West Hollywood when Prop 8 was overturned and it was so great to hear him speak about the trial. Just wanted to share this clip.

This guy is so brilliant, so articulate, I am just amazed. Thank gawd we have people like this on our side on this issue. And thank you for posting this.

I hope someday I will have the great honor of meeting him in person. I'm not sure we'd agree on other issues, but I learn from people smarter than myself. As my partner tells me his late mother would say, you seek out those who are smarter than yourself, and learn from them. And I've found in life, there's always somebody smarter than me.

He's very articulate. I love how he quietly exposed the double standard with many people within the republican party who claim that they are interested in personal liberty as long as it doesn't harm others, but in certain matters like this they want to restrict equal liberty.

That was brilliant. He powned that bigoted dumbass. The wonks are sure screaming "judicial activism" from the rooftops on this one.

The Prop 8 backers got their clocks cleaned at District court. The only thing they are going to be able to fall back on is to claim the supreme court can't overturn the Initiative process. And I imagine you'll have more than a couple of justices who are willing to pull that blanket over their eyes.

Yes, Ted Olson was brilliant in that interview. I actually thought Chris Wallace appropriately played "The Devil's Advocate" of sorts in order for Ted Olson's point to really shine even brighter. I didn't get the sense that Chris Wallace came off as bigoted at all. I was glad to see this on Fox News.

well articulated and point specific, as opposed to the incessant droppings of empty buzzwords like "togetherness," "equality," or "change."

Well, he certainly didn't get "personal"... but he did stay on the talking points, Legislate from the bench, judicial activism, going against the will of 7 million voters... blahdediblahblahblah.

All they can do is parrot.

I agree. I made this point in another thread. Chris Wallace needed to ask Ted Olson the questions some have regarding judicial activism and a judge overturning a popular vote. I sensed only probing that a journalist is expected to do, and not any disagreement.
