    Well, you at least are close. In my opinion, the number of gay meteorologists (I am one) is disproportionate to the percentage of gay men in the population.

    National Weather Service Forecast offices are littered with gay men!!

    If you mean TV meteorologists, I am willing to bet many may be gay, but more are probably somewhat narcissistic....getting off on looking good to any gender, even maybe getting a hard on from that...but I have no proof (save the six of the eight I know... :-) .

    Heh! I can't even begin to imagine what my music teacher would have done to me had I called him a queer or poofter back in the 1960s!
    The word "Gay" did not mean homosexual back then. Rather it meant "fun" or "cheerful" Same-sex men began to hijack the word "Gay" for themselves in the early 1970s.

    That expression is not really "gay". This one, of course, is...since it is often used by us gay geek weather types to answer the question: "...Is it going to rain or not, dumbshit?..." icon_biggrin.gif

    (By the way, I know for a fact that all meteorologists are VERY well hung....) icon_eek.gif

    Dang, he feels so strongly about this that he had to assert it twice. icon_smile.gif

    And careful how you word your generalizations about other mens' manhood. It could possibly make you sound like a bit of a floozie. Either that or you only sleep with psychologists. icon_smile.gif

    Twice just to make sure I pass the message icon_razz.gif

    Yes I'm generalizing and whoever happens to disagree obviously isn't a psychologist and obviously he isn't...anyway I'll go back to my movie for kids.

    There are many on the local and national lever that are so handsome.

    We had a guy at our CBS affiliate here in Orlando to end up at CNN. He is drop dead gorgeous too!

    Ah, no hun, you need to read up on your gay history. The term gay for a homosexual goes back at least to the 1920s in the US, and is first heard in a major Hollywood movie in 1938.

    I know one gay psychologist and four local gay meteorologists (actually pretty much all the men in the local news here are gay; Thomas Roberts used to even be an anchor here).

    Just in case anyone needed a memory jog on Thomas Roberts:

    HomingDevice saidI had a thought about meteorologists once, it went something like this;

    If a meteorologist had a PHD in Radiology he should be required to study and be involved in the diagnosis of breast cancer with mamograms so as to put some future youth pondering and the feminine principle into the mix of being able to manipulate the weather with Lasers.

    No one else read this? icon_eek.gif
