How did you come up with your screen name?

Some one recently asked me about my screen name. Although I am a fan of Jennifer Lopez, it did not come from that. My name is Jason, so my nickname as a kid was just "Jay". When I got my 1st home phone number, AT&T missed spelled my last as "Louis". So my friends started calling me Jay Louis and over the years just got shorted to J.Lo, now it's just J_Lo on this site. I hardly recognize my own name when I hear it now.

n8 - I was named Christian by my parents. During my sophomore year in high school, I wanted to dedicate my life to God. I wanted to become a Franciscan monk in my junior year. I went to a local retreat run by the Franciscans and met with a priest to learn more about postulancy. He mentioned that monks change their names when they are received into the brotherhood. I thought about a name of an apostle.
I was reading many books on Taoism and China at the time. I read that the apostle Bartholemew is believed to have traveled to the far east; China and India. It seemed to fit. But "Brother Bart" sounded funny to me. In the Gospel of John, Bartholemew is called Nathaniel. That was my choice. Nathaniel, or Nate - N8.

    69 - Well...

    8u - Balances out the n8.

Every time I see a handsome man wearing a turtleneck, I just can't keep my eyes off of him. It is a great look for any guy.

I wear them often myself, and if it's cool (does happen here in Florida), I will throw a turtleneck shirt or a dickey under a sweatshirt to power walk in. Some nights, I'll just crank the AC down a bit and wear a dickey under a t-shirt to bed. I love the "hug" it gives me around my neck.

    Hence....turtleneckjock.

I was a rabid fan of the Bleach manga back when it was good (200 chapters ago) and its protagonist is Kurosaki Ichigo (黒崎 一護)

    黒: Black (as in Jetblack)
    崎: Cape (geographic def.)
    一: 1
    護: 5

The color spectrum of the rainbow, and the year I was born...

picked the colors because of the obvious rainbow/gay connection, and ive been a novice/self taught freelance graphic designer since I was 19...so it just worked.
