From the L.A. Times:

In an effort coordinated with the White House, congressional leaders are urging Democrats to focus less on bragging about what they have done — a landmark healthcare law, a sweeping overhaul of Wall Street regulation and other far-reaching policy changes

But healthcare "reform" was the best thing ever done in the past century. Why wouldn't the Democrats want to trumpet this milestone?

"The question for 2010 is: Whose side are you on?" Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, said to reporters Thursday. He spoke after a closed meeting with Democratic senators, where palm cards itemizing contrasts between the parties were distributed for lawmakers to carry around during the recess.

"Democrats moving us forward, while Republicans take us back," the card says.

I certainly would love to move backwards. Imagine a USA without $1.5 trillion deficits for as far into the future as the eye can see.

Imagine a USA where people are not forced to purchase health insurance from a private entity.

Imagine a USA where Washington isn't constantly threatening private enterprise.

Sounds like a good place to go. Back!,0,6906697.story?track=rss
