I need a drastic change to my workout routine, I was thinking about purchasing the p90x system. Anyone else try it? Should I get it or would it be tossing money out the window?

Theres no wasted money if you download it for free from a torrent site.... But I'm not encouraging anything...
And yeah P90X is a good motivator I would say.

I'll sell you mine (for a drastically reduced price!!) . haha. I dont have time for it, and I find going to the gym is a better fit for me...... I have a trainer now.....

P90X seems to give a great workout and many of the exercises really kick you ass. It would be great if you can stick to the program.

p90x is GREAT!!!!! only been doing it since July but already see marked improvements. But dont buy more than the disks. The beachbody company is so f---ing rude. you can but most of what you need at bodybuilding.com besides the DVD's.

Search on youtube for "P90X Results".
A lot of people get great results from it.
I've done it off & on, but I can never seem
to stick to any workout system. I always
end up doing my own customized version.

I'm pretty sure you can rent it at the local video store. Or just buy a pre-owned set from ebay or craigslist. Or torrent.

yes, it's absolutely worth it if you've got the dedication to stick with it. now that i've been through it, i mix it in with my gym workouts.

be warned, though -- sometimes it's harder to stay motivated with home workouts. good luck!

If you use torrents, its free.
But definitely worth it, but the hard part is motivation. I started p90X maybe 3 times before completing it the summer before, and I was happy with the results. If you get a chance, look at Insanity as well.

My brother is doing P90X and Insanity back to back over the past 9 months. He finds that he feels great after both workouts but he gets a more intense workout with Insanity. Both are worth it if you really stick to it.

p90x works if you want to lose weight. however, it will not build muscle. if you are to be lean and thin than it will work. however, if you are looking to add some muscle it is not going to work for that

It works. Other things work, too, and maybe with less pain.

P90x is a set program that isnt adapted to you. AND P90x does not work on correct form of exercises like a trainer (so it is more likely that you could have injury). It is also a packaged product so they want to make money by selling product.

with that said, It works, It is intense and the program is a good metabolic program. I know a lot of people who have not finished 90 days. If you want to do more than lose weight, it might not be a good option.

It is hella hard. I used it in conjunction with my other workouts. My gym had it, so it was free.

To my understanding the program is a ridiculous amount of money, so go with what the others have said with downloading it for free or asking a gym to burn it for you. Also! You need the equipment like a pullup bar, and dumbbells etc.

I thought the exercises got repetitive. The "back and leg" disc is literally all lunges and pull ups.

Yoga/Kenpo (I think it was) was an hour and a half. Not only is it very strenuous, but it is time-consuming. I remember that I was frequently sore the day after, but I would have to do another part of my body to keep up with my own lifting/the program. It's all about how hard you push yourself, the annoying buff guy can only take you so far.

Half the time he just traipses about and supervises the other people. His counting also gets off, which is why I'm glad there is a "silent" option.

Overall, try it out. It's very difficult, but I got more definition.
