I know this doesn't help you, but I had to age down my metabolism to be able to put on more muscle mass.

People who say "eat everything" are in the somewhat outdated mindset of bulking/cutting cycles that steroid-using people use while preparing for contests.

When you do hard workouts your muscles respond by adapting - they get stronger, and larger, In order to do that they need protein.

What's worked best for me is eating every 2-3 hours, making sure I get 1.5 x my bodyweight converted to grams of protein. I weigh 250; I try to get 375 grams of protein spaced out over the whole day.

steer clear of drinks sweetened with corn syrup. corn syrup stores as fat and mainly in the stomach.

as a guy with a fast metabolism i definetly know what your talking about! some of the protein shakes have some good health value to them, so id say drink them regularly, definetly dont eat everything and anything, try to stay healthy with your eating, but dont be afraid to munch on some less than healthy things through the day to keep your metabolism from eating away at your gains! also, oddly enough ALOT of people leave out stretching, but that helps give muscles room to grow, so try to stretch to increase gains, and massage, even just yourself rubbing your muscles, helps increase bloodflow, and subsequently nutrient intake to your muscles icon_biggrin.gif
