A little vacation, visiting Budapest the first week of October 2010.
Wondering what places I really should visit, not talking about a gym.

    Any experience here ?

    Thanks, icon_wink.gif

Don't really know specifics to tell you, but Budapest is awesome. I was only there briefly but it's a beautiful city with a lot of fun things to do and see. The only thing I didn't really like was the food, but that's just personal preference.

if you're going to do any of the baths, do szechenyi in varosliget (city park). make sure you check out hosok tere (hero's square) while you're in the area.

capella bar has a hilarious drag show on wednesdays and is very centrally located on the pest side of the danube.

check out the terror house for an amazing look at communist oppression. the holocaust museum in the ninth district is incredibly moving as well. i dont think most of the rest of the hungarian museums are that interesting, but that could be me.

take a side trip to pecs, szeged, eger... very awesome small authentic charming hungarian towns

any other questions, let me know

huh, nice city, i think you don't speak the language but you'll be ok in english.
but good luck if you go in other places too. they speak no english, even if they do, they wont and try to take advantage of you.
just be careful...but as long as you are not romanian you should be safe there icon_biggrin.gif

Walk up to the castle on the Buda side (Budai Vár) for a really nice view of the city, especially at night. It's even featured in an ad campaign in Beijing right now!
