Hey guys, I'm starting the RealJock Strength Foundation 12-Week Workout Program , next week with a buddy of mine, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice or helpful tips about the program, maybe if you've done it.

Also, if you had any information about what kind of diet I should follow while working on this program.

Any information would be very helpful! Thanks

First I'm no expert...but this is my experience.

I've been working out for 5 years...I think for me the key is staying motivated. Not sure if you've been to the gym much before, but a lot of guys get deflated when they don't see immediate results. Be ready for that. Also be ready for the extreme muscle pain you might experience in the first little while after you start. No matter how tired or how sore you are, don't give up!

As for specific workout plans, I've never liked structured plans. The most structure I have is by body part groupings. I like chest/bicep, shoulder/tricep, back - on its own, legs - on its own, and abs - on its own. It's important to not do the same exercises over and over again too...toss it up a bit, try new things - keep your muscles guessing.

As for diet...protein, protein, protein. Also make sure you eat right after the gym, you're muscles need simple carbs after the gym to grow.
And don't restrict yoursellf to heavily on what you eat...if your diet becomes boring you are bound to cheat. A little treat now and then is ok!

    Good Luck
