What would you do when there's a straight guy at the gym that just takes your breath away? Would you ever approach him in hopes that he might be interested, or just hide your feelings for him?

I approach every guy in the gym...straight gay or bi, attractive average or neither.
I also don't assume the sexuality of those I don't know. If they wish to tell me, that's their business.
I'm just there to workout, maybe make a few friends/aquaintances, and leave. icon_biggrin.gif

How on earth do you have time to work out? Or are you there when there's no one else there? icon_smile.gif

I agree with Paul, I've gotten asked out to coffee twice from this approach- assuming nothing, but some pointers worked out.

I don't get all the obsession with straight guys, straight porn on these forums today - YAWN

To tell you the truth I have never actually approached anyone at the gym (straight or not). I really go in there to workout hard, with good music blasting in my ears, and leave. I always workout alone, but with all the good looking guys around, sometimes i just feel like going over to get to know them. But I always assume that any nice guy that i really like is straight and usually I back off, even if they might not be. I wouldn't mind having those studs as good buddies either because they seem like pretty decent guys.

I always just ignore them. One of them sat next to me in the sauna when only he and I were in there. Sat in my personal space. I almost wet myself he might not have been straight but wow, I did not know what to do...

Figure out which days they're going to do which muscle groups, and make it a point to do the same muscle group next you're both in there. Ask to work in on a few sets. It's amazingly effective. icon_wink.gif

OMG! Paul, that has actually happened... There are certain studs that always work out next to me when we're both there. Coincidence? Maybe... But it's always the same guys, and it's a pretty big gym.

Thanks guys... I will try to reach out to guys at the gym more (whether gay or straight or whatever). I'm not at all antisocial, I'm just a very reserved guy... and if something more than a friendship comes from it then great ;)

If I could interpret the lines in my own context, I'd say, you build up your body not just for the sake of looking good, but to feel good.
If you feel good, then those feelings won't matter.

"Don't just stand there, show me what you can do...", I believe you got the potential to turn any "straight" man gay.icon_rolleyes.gif

There is a good looking and very nicely built straight guy that goes to the gym the exact same times as I do, I always like it when I'm a couple of minutes behind him in the locker room and I catch him just as he's changing his shirt so I can see his fantastic body!

Never has a shower afterwards though so I've never seen the rest!

I know he's married though, it's just a bit of eye candy to brighten my gym visit!

I swear the harder I stare - it feels as if he knows and just continues to show off.

Have any of you just kept running into him everytime you workout no matter what time of the day it is? Does he stare at you back? lol...or is it our minds playing with out minds? icon_eek.gif

Haha, I think he only stares at me because I stare at him!

They probably get creeped out by these gay guys staring at them all the time!

As I keep saying: Ask him to work in on a set or two. That's the best way to say hi.

guys, i've read with interest these threads. I've not worked out a long time and need to get back at it. I have to admit that I am fearful about returning and looking like a the lost guy. Any suggestions?

Workout long enough that you're long longer lost.
Everyone looks lost their first few days/weeks. It's only normal. icon_biggrin.gif
