Ran 4 miles on an indoor track, then I lifted weights.

I know that tomorrow I need to do some distance but I just bought some new Asics Gel shoes and they will need to be broken in more.

Monday was my first day running outside again since Memorial Day, when I ran 10 miles but did too much, too fast and ripped up my left calf.

I did 1 mile, slowly, in 12 minutes. I have my sights set on a 5K on Sept. 18 and another in November ... then the Country Music 13.1 miler in nashville next spring. (oh yeah, i'm gonna do it!)

Well, I've decided to try and "pull a Zox" and run 5K under 20 mins. Thought for sure I had done it last night on the treadmill but I was 11 seconds over. Grrrrr.

Zox, i know i can't catch up to you but you've inspired me to push harder.

shoelessj, welcome!!! that race is by the same folks who do the rock and roll halfs (halves?) around the country. they put on a great race, i think you're going to have a great time!

Well that is pretty good to do that on a treadmill. I usually only set the treadmill to 7:30 pace when I run on one then work up to 6:30 pace for the last mile or so.
