She is a talented girl. She wrote all her songs and produced them as well, they are catchy and creative lyrics. There is nothing to hate really unless u dont like country music. Her genre is completely different from singers like Lady GaGa, Beyonce.. or other mainstream singer.

Next door girl pretty much. icon_smile.gif

You may not like her music (I don't), but you have to give her some credit. She is quite a talented songwriter, at the very least. And for having started as young as she did, that's damn impressive. And she's not allowed fame to go to her head, at least it doesn't seem she has.

Hey, don't go hating on my girl taylor. She's one of the few girls out there who does not do anything annoying since her debut.

I think she is talented and etc, and definitely has a following but I have no clue as to why? I think she sounds so damn winey and is not attractive at all. Of course Im not a huge country music fan either.

Not a fan of her voice. It is too weak and whiney.

I am a huge country music guy, but I am not a fan of her at all. Yes, she does write most of her own stuff and it can be catchy to some, but as she grows up, her music needs to do the same. Taylor, you're not in high school anymore and to be taken seriously, you must your music and the message they send if that is what you're trying to do.

That said, she CAN NOT carry a tune when performing live, just see all her live performances from last year, it was hilarious.

Another thing that irks me is that she tries to sing with a country accent when she has none at all. She is from Wyomissing, PA and in her live interviews you can clearly tell she is trying too hard.

    what??!?! LOVES her!!!! icon_lol.gif

I'm not a big fan of her liver performances...but w.e. It takes GUTS to be a sucky live singer than it does to be an all show/fake one!

Plus, listening to her music makes me feel like a little teenage school again all over again. icon_razz.gif

    I do!!!

But um...I have a question. WHY IS LADY GAGA AT ALL MENTIONED IN THIS THREAD? I mean how is Lady GaGa's music of ANY resemblance to Taylor Swift?

Jesus christ. You can't shit these days without people comparing you to Lady GaGa.

They do have a similar thing as they both busted into the music scene in big ways and became extremely popular in a very short period of time.

Another comparison, at least Lady Gaga can sing live, because Taylor sure as hell can't.

Hummm. Compare her singing voice to, say, Carrie Underwood, who's in the same country/pop genre. Make your own conclusions. Me? I prefer CU over TS any day. Just my humble opinion.

Hell, take a look at the most recent ACM Awards and the women in the Best Female Vocalist category:
    Carrie Underwood
    Taylor Swift
    Reba McEntire
    Lee Ann Womack
    Miranda Lambert winner

We're talking about TAYLOR SWIFT's music, not how they became famous.

Oh, by the way, I'm starting classes in two days. OMG THAT'S SO LYK LADY GAGA LYK!

EXACTLY. Not saying TS is amazing, but you can't compare two people of total different genres and styles.

But noooooo everyone is on the Lady GaGa bandwagon and as I said, you can't shit without Lady GaGa being thrown in there.

lol I'm not angry. It's just annoying because every little thing regarding music and celebrities on this board, or in fact, anywhere, Lady GaGa is brought up. It's like pre-2008, music did not exist and now the world revolves around this singer (whose music I love).

Taylor was cringeworthy when she was on stage with the goddess Stevie Nicks on some awards show a couple months back.

haha...I just don't get her AT ALL. Extremely mediocre voice, not good live...it's just a perfect example of the media, producers pushing someone down our throats and saying we should like her. After time, if you tell people something enough they start to believe it. Other than that I'm sure she is a super sweet girl ;-)
