Works the same way when you block a profile. They can still see your profile and look at your public pics. They just can't send you a message. Well, they can but it automatically gets deleted so that you don't see it in your Inbox.

I don't have you ignored though. I was just saying it's like every other poster.

The "Block" function is used only by cowards and anally retentive arsewipes with pokers up their jacksy.

    IMHO

I've accidently blocked some guys when on RJ on my phone and my finger slipped. I've always immediately unblocked them. Does any one know if the guys would have gotten a notice they were blocked?

I dont agree....I block the users I dont like. They are not users I am fighting with, just that I dont like their posts so it makes the 15-minuts I log on RJ a day a more enjoyable experience. I dont see how it can be considered as coward, this is just an internet forum and the goal is to be entertained, not annoyed

I do not really understand the reason to block someone's forum posts. If the blocked person makes an obnoxious or outrageous post (which is probably the reason you blocked them), it is going to be quoted by someone else so you will see it anyway. Just block the person by resisting the urge to respond to their posts.

I dont block someone based on only one post, just the overall posts. Some users are here only to cause drama,or someone I wont name only write in BIG font size and I found that really annoying. So instead of being annoyed,I just ignored

exactly, it's just an internet forum, it's not that serious.

so for someone to call u a "coward" cuz u blocked them shows u that THAT partuclar person takes the forums too serious.

I block assholes who have nothing constructive to add to forum discourse. Fucked if I'm gonna put up with their retarded shit. I post on RJ for my personal enjoyment and I will tailor it to my absolute preferences. And I do

and how does anyone know that i wanna find out how to block someone because they annoy me?

Maybe its a co-=worker I would rather them not see me on here. Maybe it's a neighbor that I would rather have them not see me on here?

its not cuz im being "cowardly" or "anal retentive"
I just dont want a particlar person on here to see me, yet I still want to be able to participate in the forums, etc.

    Don't like, don't read.

Just because I read "The Sun" doesn't mean I have to look at page 3 (woman with tits out). Actually, I don't read "The Sun". Obviously. It's right wing diatribe for imbeciles. Although I may pick up a used copy on the train and flick through to the pictures of vapid nonentity Z-listers. Which passes the time. And which further reinforces my point.

To feel the need to block someone to protect yourself from their nasty comments demonstrates very poor emotional competence.

    IMHO.

The Block function doesn't enable that. From what I can gather. It exists to protect you from reading things that mike make you a likkle bik upset.
