Ok I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation but does this happen to you..

Maybe its specs of dust on my eyeball with light shining through them, but I swear I see microscopic stuff and kind of follow them with my focus. I can see through them as though they are on a microscope thingy being studied. They are transparent.

I've had those for years. So THAT'S what they are. Thank you for the info! Who could predict what you would learn on RJ!

I have lots of vision problems. When I was a little kid, seeing these little floater cells over my eye made me think I had super vision, and just hadn't figured out how to use it yet. icon_razz.gif

When I was little in daycare I used to see dust particles floating around. I thought I had the superpower to see germs flying through the air icon_lol.gif

I used to think the same thing too as a child - I can see germs! Turns out they are just floaters as others have pointed out: portions of hardened vitreous gel floating around casting shadows on the retina icon_smile.gif I've kinda learned to block them out.

Floaters are bits of debris in your eyes that develop with old age. You don't have those. You are seeing stuff floating on the fluid layer over your eyes. Buy some Murine or something like that. I thought I was going blind because I had a haze over my eyes when I sat facing the windows in the cafeteria. It's just dead shit floating on the moist layer over your eyes. Relax!

    ROFL.

When I was a teenager I thought of floaters with, "Oh great, so what else?" in typical teenage angst at the unfairness of life. I was pretty sure my vision was defective, lol.

Youre not crazy because I see them too! icon_eek.gif
Close your eyes and face the sun or some bright light source.
You can see them more clearly!

Why do so many gay men think they have a special gift- like they're psychic or something. (spells drama, or 14 yr old girl behavior) This takes the cake.icon_lol.gif

OP-Seems you are just a regular garden variety gay man.

I've had them for as long as I can remember, but have never been sufficiently concerned to bother asking.
