So I was sleeping with this guy last night and I had this awful dream that he tried to kill me while we were sleeping....The dream felt so real. I woke up and I wasnt entirely sure I was dreaming....
When this guy sleeps he is like all over me, and in the dream he ended up with his hand on my face and then over my mouth and I started to suffocate!!! I woke up when I blacked out in the dream....it was especially creepy waking up and finding myself still next to him! haha

anyone ever get murdered in a dream by their partner???

You should tell this dream to him. He might get the hint.

Nope, usually I'm chased by vampires and black shadows which have knifes sticking out of them, but this once I was chased by a friend with whom I used to go to swimming lessons icon_confused.gif
In my dream the character had my friends head and ugly adult's body - that was the creepiest and most terrifying character my subconscious has created to date... I think...
As always, I was struggling to get away, and he had no problem catching up... First he pulled a back-pack off my back, then my jacked, then my shirt... ummm, later I woke up... yes... I woke up...

Was this a one-night stand or are you in a relationship with this guy? If you're together, it sounds like you need some personal space. Freud would likely say you are feeling suffocated in the relationship...

That site was 100% correct when I had the exact same dream. It was the part about my unused talents:
dreammoods.comTo dream that you are murdered, suggests that some important and significant relationship has been severed. You are trying to disconnect yourself from your emotions. The dream may also be about your unused talents.

Do you think hes invading your space? Do you feel hes getting attached to you rather quickly, and all that attention is 'suffocating' you?
    See where im getting at?

Mass dream interpretation is foolish. After all, if someone was beaten regularly in a pale blue room, the color blue will have a VERY different meaning in their dreams than for someone else (the typical Peace, Sorrow, and Serene sort of moods)..

Thus... a dream interpreter would be smart to ask how you feel about murder. Is murder an idea or fantasy that comes up to you often? Some video gamers, alternative personalities, or even simply people who tend to exagerrate their emotions.. they like to use phrases like "Ugh, i want to kill that bitch" or "God, I wish all those closed minded bigots would just die". If your subconcious treats death as a general expression of anger, disgust, annoyance, etc.. that might be reflected in this dream (IE you are either annoyed by their person, or you fear you annoy him, etc).

If death or murder is something very personal or intimate for you.. such as if youve experienced someone's death that hit you very hard, especially by murder.. then the murder might reflect deeper, more unusual fears, of trust or abandonment.

And unused talents? Seriously? I guess I could understand that experiencing death in a dream might represent "my life, and my potential, has been cut short" ..but that's pretty rare. Most people would just dream of parents or school restricting their talents, not murder or death.

what scary dreams y'all have. Although, I often have dreams of being bitten by unsavory insects. However, if he is all over you it could be that his physical actions where affecting your dream. I once had a dream I was in an orchestra repeatedly playing the same note, only to wake up and discover that my alarm was going off.

Well, apart from unused talents or losing someone, since you say he suffocated you maybe you feel that you're not getting enough personal space with him around.

My father used to always tell me I'd never amount to anything, and that I'd never make a penny living off my hobbies (which happen to be talents).
Now he's dead, thank god, and my entire career base is nothing but hobbies. icon_wink.gif

Or, if he were a bottom, he could be worried about being more likely to receive a life threatening sexually transmitted disease from his partner at some point. That's also something that would happen while in bed.

Crazy responses guys. I'll try to answer back to a few....
Yea...dream interpretation is really difficult because you need to accurately explain the dream, which is often difficult...and you need to understand how people understand each of the stimuli...

No.... I was not the bottom...

Yes....he was always all up on me when we went to sleep...

You guys had some interesting interpretations.
