So, this is a bit late in the game for me because I'm finally starting to get back into soccer, basketball and volleyball after spraining my knee a little less than a month ago. But during that time I was incredibly irritated because I couldn't do a lower body workout at all.

In the case that this, or even something similar happens, is there anything I can do. I don't need to work out in that sense to feel better, but for whatever reason my body eats up muscle real fast when it doesn't get used. For example I lost roughly 10 pounds over two weeks just because I really couldn't do much.

I guess I'd love to hear from others who've had longer term injuries that prevent them from working out, and how they try to prevent muscle loss and other issues that come with not working out.
