    SHOES!
Actually, your primary workout shoes! What Size are they, What make and what do you call them? Are they "sneekers", "Tennis-shoes", "runners", "sports shoes", "athletic shoes", etc.... and when did you get get them? Curious to see if there is a "regionalized" set of "colloquialisms"... sort of like soft drinks being called "pop", vs "soda", vs "coke", etc...

My shoes are size 9.5, they are Brooks, and I call them "sneekers", I just got them on saturday, 2/16/2008.... (I call it "soda", but I am an oddball in Ohio where it is POP.)

Mine are size 11......three pairs of workout shoes - had them all for a few years.
    Nike Airliners - for running
Nike Air - for weight lifting
    Reebok - for tennis
(plus 40-something other pairs (dress and casual shoes)of all different kinds - I just counted for you - many are more than a few years old, but are in great shape with shoe trees in them. My buddies say I'm Imelda's blond grandson)

I also have Asics Gel- Kayano. Size 13.

I swear by Asics. I won't by anything else. If you're flat footed, like myself, they will do wonders for your feet.

I like those Adidas shoes that are made of mesh and have vents in the soles. I'm always too hot in the gym, and keeping my feet cool helps me out a lot.

    I wear a size eleven.

I wear a size 10, and right now they're black Kenneth Cole laceups with friggin' pointy toes. The shoe sticks out two inches past the end of my foot, and I keep tripping on the sidewalk...

I wear size 10.5-11 depending on the brand. When I workout, I usually wear Adidas Response or Supernovas... very comfy.

Mine 10.5 and I have Aisics for running, Nike for working out. I have no pet names for them, but I never wear outside sneaks for inside workouts.

I have about 10 pairs. My sneaks usually graduate to "grass" sneaks and those are for cutting the lawn. Then I throw them out.

I buy at least 2 new pairs a year.

My Mizuno wave runners are awesome!!!!
i call them tennis shoes (tennis is pronounced without the s at the end)

for casual wear I wear pumas.
I have a narrow foot (size 9.5) and pumas tend to feel most comfie. I have four different pair, giving me options depending on what i'm wearing and how i feel that day.

actually, this is a perfect thread since i am looking to buy new athletic shoes. question, though: do i really need a different pair of shoes for running and lifting? i mean, i wouldn't say i do all that much running (20-25min, 3x/wk) to require distinct shoes, but i'm wondering what you all have to say on this.

    thanks!
(oh, and i was unfortunately born with beastly feet, size 12-13)

I'm really shocked by all the people claiming NIKE running shoes. I've been running for 15+ years and I wouldn't be caught dead in those shoes! LOL

But to stay on topic...I discovered the other day that I have a couple of size 14 dress shoes!

Size 11 New Balance MR790. LOVE these shoes (and that's what I call them). Super light weight and durable. They're black and don't make any noise when I walk. I feel like a ninja when I wear them. icon_smile.gif

    Size 14 Asics Gel-Kayano X1.

Best pair of running shoes I've ever owned. There is a great store in Chicago called "Fleet Feet" where they insist on watching you run and walk in the shoes to insure proper fit and support.

Being from the South, I'll probably always call them "tenny shoes"

10.5, New Balance for running, and New Balance cross trainers for everything else.

I only have a dozen pairs of shoes, but a great variety of them. My best: motorcycle boots, but they're a scoosh too small, so it hurts to wear them for too long.

I guess pain is necessary for true fashion...
