Ive noticed that most of the ads shown on realjock show some hot muscley dude, right?

Ive seen at least three of not only the same models, but the same pictures, on Mens Healths website.

    Just an interesting observation.

So what, they reused a model...Most models that show up in gay books and magazines, aren't even gay!

When you model you generally sign a release
    that's within a contract negotiation
which gives the rights to those pictures usually to a photographer....
once signed the photographer can use and reuse those pictures in whatever market wants them
    it's a business proposition...not a gay one

Or they have good agents! BUT most of the model photos on this site even state they are stock photos.

Well the use of photos is well known. The issue comes up when one person uses another pics on their own profile. There was a person on RJ who had the same picture as another individual. I asked them about it and he claimed both profiles were his.

The two were not congruient so I knew something wasn't legitimate...

I think they use a combination of image companies (like comstock and getty) and pictures from a local photographer Nicholas Smith. I hope that's his correct name. ;)
One of the models that gets used quite a bit is a Bay Area guy I know who is definitely a hottie. He was featured in the Bikram photo and Accessorized Abs.

I never pay much attention to the models, but it would make sense to use stock photos.

The first time I saw the Tad Inoue bodybuilding advertizement I did a massive double-take, though, because I went to grad school and worked out at the gym with his identical twin brother.

I think all of the above are true, but although there are hundreds or thousands of fitness models, I would guess there are not that many working all the time. There are probably "hot" looks that everybody wants, and if you don't fit the look you're out of luck.
