Yeah, I'm always hungry. I do lift hard, so I understand part of it is that muscles are hungry... But, I am trying to go through a cutting phase and it's hard. I get hungry even after eating, and I find that when i'm hungry I get angry too! Anyone else, hungry and angry, and trying to cut calories? How do you deal with it?

I just get angry because I am hungry! Well that is when I am not on the low carb diet. If I am on that diet, and stick to it, I am generally not hungry and if I do get the urge then I can eat. The beauty of that diet.

Try drinking more water. I read somewhere (yeah, I read a lot) that the thirst mechanism becomes so weak in some people that it's misinterpreted as hunger pangs.

Of course, if the hunger persists, then maybe you're just not eating enough?

I'm not currently cutting; but when I am, I snack on mixed nuts and do a little extra cardio to make up for the additional calories.

I get angry when I go low sugar. Could that be what is happening to you? You might want to consult a doctor or sports fitness professional. And are you taking supplements? Some of those can alter your behavioral moods.

When I was diagnosed as hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) I had to eat a lot of small meals & snacks all day. The hypoglycemia has resolved itself, I guess with age, but I still have those eating habits. That's something you might look into, and whether your nutrition habits are meeting your present needs with your exercise routine. You might find that the one will compliment the other.

This. When I get hungry I get petulant. Sucks. Gotta keep snacks around. At work I keep some multigrain crackers and peanut butter on my desk. Bananas, oranges, etc when I remember to bring them.
