7 weeks now since the initial online application! no approval, no closing date.

during our last phone conversation (last friday), the "loan officer" informed me that my out-of-pocket closing expenses have risen FOUR HUNDRED percent.

i just made my third (and final) email request for a revised Good Faith Estimate of the loan. i've been asking for 10 days for this.

can you guess who is at the TOP of my "Shit List"? icon_mad.gif

What are you still doing dealing with those people???? Get them the hell out of there, and use a legitmate firm.

Part of what allows crappy financial intermediaries to make money is that clients are reluctant to throw in the towel with their firm and start again with a better one. The impulse to stick with the devil you know is undoubtedly strong, but I can not urge you enough to drop Amerisave and find yourself a proper mortgage lender or broker. They should be able to move things along much faster. The delays you speak of and the huge increase in cost are big warning signs that you are not dealing with the kind of people you want near you in making what is probably the biggest purchase you will ever make.
