He's so deep, stoney chill-out music by Jugoe of Bastard Jazz Records. This was recorded actually in 1999 and just recently unearthed....download it asap as it's not gonna be up much longer (permission of artist....you can even blog it/post to facebook/whatever)

I know that some, if not all, of the music on that mix isn't actually BY him. And I don't think he really altered the songs in any way OTHER than just slowing them down. At least to my ears it sounds like that's all he did. The songs that I could identify are Modular Mix, by AIR, from their Premiere Symptomes album. That plays at the very beginning. Then following that is Channel 1 Suite, by Cinematic Orchestra, from their Motion album. At 25 min. 30 sec., Worksong by Tosca, from their Opera album, starts playing. And there's another song by someone else that finishes the set which I wasn't able to remember who it was by.

Definitely check out Tosca if you are into downtemp. Their second album, Opera, is what I consider to be one of the best downtempo works ever. I remember one review saying something to the effect of the album being like the smoke rising from an after-sex cigarette on a foggy night.

You are correct in that it is a mix CD.

I like Tosca on disc, live they were terrible.

Currently I'm into Emancipator, Mux Mool, Bonobo, Dr Toast, Random Rab and Auditory Canvas for my chill-out music.
