I'm like 70 pages in and honestly I haven't been moved this intensely in a while. This book is bringing up so many mixed emotions in me. It's a tough subject. Has anybody else read this book? Did it move you?

I actually just cited this book today and quoted from it in another thread here -- Gay Society and Self-Image (http://www.realjock.com/topic/110009/). You're absolutely right: a great little book. It helped me understand a great deal about my own conflicts due to the internalized homophobia and shame I absorbed when I was growing up. It was kind of like, "That's just what was happening to me."

It's the kind of book you always find yourself referring back to. It stays with you.

Kori, I'd be interested in knowing which things in the book are jumping out at you the most.

That's actually where I learned of the book, the snippet I read looked interesting, so I checked to see if my library had it and signed it out. I'm a reader, I love reading.

The parts that have really hit me the most so far was the parts on adopting a double personality (one straight, one gay), the impact of the first relationship, and the entire betrayal chapter including the story of Sean.
